The Turtle Island Flute
Cherry, walnut, and curly maple
Bird: walnut and curly maple
Only available in 432Hz
I call this flute the Turtle Island Flute. Turtle Island was the name that many Native American people used as the name for their North American homeland. Like many other cultures they visualized the world around them as the shell of a giant turtle that was swimming through the space of the cosmos. The Turtle Island flute is made of my three favorite North American hardwoods – cherry for the body, walnut for the ends and curly maple for the detailing. I am confident that these woods are sustainably harvested. The Turtle Island flute is made only in 432 Hz with Just Intonation tuning.
