The Turtle Island flutes are made of a combination of three, sustainably harvested, North American hardwoods – black cherry, black walnut and curly maple. This wood combination produces a flute with a warm, balanced tone. They are all medium dense, smooth grained woods that take a wonderful, satiny finish. The cherry wood will darken over time to a deep russet brown color.
