Sundance Flutes

We make Sundance flutes in two different wood combinations. Curly maple and purpleheart and curly maple and walnut. Curly maple is also called flame maple, fiddle back maple or tiger maple. It has rippling stripes that appear to move as the light changes. It is one of the most unique of the North American hardwoods. Purpleheart is a dense Central American hardwood prized for its deep purple color. Black walnut is a medium dense North American hardwood with a deep chocolate or purplish brown color with subtle grain patterns. Both of these wood combinations take a beautiful, smooth finish.
